Luke Hamilton recently represented Roblan Pty Ltd in the Turning and CNC/CAD/CAM Sections of the 2009 WorkSkills Regional Competition, which were held on the 6th and 8th of October, in Sydney.

Luke finished a commendable 4th place in the Turning Section, held on the 6th.

Luke's performance in the CNC/CAD/CAM Section, held on the 8th, was outstanding, and placed him First in the State, for which he was awarded the Gold Medal.

He will now compete in the National WorkSkills Competition, in a three day CNC/CAD/CAM event, which will be held in Brisbane later in the year. If successful, Luke will follow in the footsteps of
Wayne Younie, and will be chosen to represent Australia in the 2010 Skill Olympics in London.

Luke has been with
Roblan since January 2005. He has previously been well placed in national competitons, coming 5th in the TIFA Toolmaking Competition in 2007, and 4th in the Tooling Australia Competition in 2008.

In accepting his award, Luke recently paid tribute to his TAFE teacher, Brendan Barlow, and his supervisor,
Paul Hook, Manager of Roblan's Tooling/Design Division.

It is pleasing to see someone, who has worked and trained at
Roblan from the start of their Apprenticeship, succeed once again in these competitions.

On behalf of the Directors, Shareholders and Management I wish Luke well in the future competitions and do not doubt his ability to succeed.
